Amazon decided to temporarily close the facility near Toronto due to an increase in COVID-19 cases

The e-commerce giant Amazon close one of its achievement centres in Canada for two weeks because of an increasing trend rate of Covid-19 infections at the facility.

Also, a public health investigation found that while the rate of Covid-19 illness has been the decrease in the area and the rate inside of the Brampton facility near Toronto.

The medical officer Dr Lawrence C. Loh said that a temporary closure was needed to stop the spread of the virus.

This Amazon facility is in an exposed community and more than thousands of people playing the role of employee.

Also, the company has required regular testing employees at the Brampton plant.
Bauer said, nothing’s more important than the health and safety of our employees, this closure may have some short-term impact on Canadian customers, we will work to recover soon.

Under the order, the employees at the Brampton facility are required to self-isolate until March 27th.

Moreover, Amazon has continued to operate most of its offices and other facilities even when there were outbreaks of the virus.
